Nomura Appoints Co-Heads Of Fixed Income Sales For EMEA

Nomura, the Japanese financial services group, has appointed Guy Cornelius and Raffaele Ricci as its new co-heads of fixed income sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In their new roles Cornelius and Ricci will be responsible for the flow and structured sales forces across all of Nomura's fixed income products and geographies in the EMEA region and are charged with defining the vision and strategy for its client franchise and partnering with the bank’s trading, structuring, and research functions, the firm said in a statement. Based in London, they will report to Georges Assi and Kieran Higgins, the co-heads of fixed income in the EMEA region. Prior to joining Nomura Cornelius worked for Evolution Securities, where he served as head of fixed income. Before this, he worked at Lehman Brothers as a senior relationship manager and at UBS as head of fixed income sales. Ricci, meanwhile, has been internally appointed, having previously served as head of solutions sales and co-head of sales at Nomura in the Middle East and Southern Europe. Prior to Nomura, he served as head of the structured solutions group at Lehman Brothers.
